From that date, graduates will not be granted a certified caregiver status if they have not passed the National Caregiver Certification Examination.

You can take a leave of absence from school.
If your training facility has a registered absence system, you can take leave like the Japanese students. However, depending on the reason of absence, you may not be allowed to keep your student residence status. We recommend consulting the Immigration Bureau in advance.

If I apply for a registered absence, do I need to carry out procedures for an extension of my "Student" residence status?

It is necessary in certain cases.
However, the extension of visa depends on the reason for taking the leave. We recommend consulting the Immigration Bureau in advance.
